Samantha Firoze Sethna

My work focuses on what makes us experience space the way we do,
and explores its use as a tool for social impact.

I love to design, then build things into existence.
I aim to bring harmony to the built world via interdisciplinary design,
and the unassumingly powerful medium of sound.

For well over a decade, I've dedicated my time and leveraged my manifold engineering, creative, and technical background to bring artistic, culture-creating endeavors to fruition.

Projects range in scale, and include the following:

Acoustical analysis, consultation, design, and creative solution implementation for clients utilizing architectural spaces to drive shifts in workplace, community-building, dining, and producer cultures. I deeply enjoy drawing on my design and fabrication background to create unique, bespoke high-performance acoustic technology disguised as art.
Stadium concert production for Björk, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer and more.
○ Fabrication and installation of large-scale architectural sculptural work for museums such as SFMOMA and OMCA, and venues such as SFJAZZ and Palace of Fine Arts.
Independent film and music video production for notable local filmmakers such as Pete Lee, Ben Fee, and Ana Blue Grillo.
Creation of scientifically accurate listening and sound-based work environments with respected acoustician Bob Hodas for award-winning engineers and producers such as John Vanderslice, Michael Romanowski, Nahuel Bronzini and organizations such as One Union Recording, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Oculus and Facebook.
